Happy first day of Winter everyone! As most of you know, I recently moved from sunny San Diego, California to good ole’ four-seasoned Fort Wayne, Indiana. So far I am loving it! Growing up with the same predictable beautiful weather all the time was amazing, but I have never really experienced the four seasons as a part of daily life. I have been in snowy places many times growing up and while visiting Indiana before I moved, but it has never been a part of my home. While today is the first official day of winter, last week I woke up to my first snowfall! I loved it!! The weather, so far, has been bearable as long as you a prepared for it by being properly dressed. In this post I want to tell you guys about my first two snow essentials that I am loving, and that will be saving my cold butt this winter.
During the holiday season, as we all know, there are so many parties and events to attend and finding something festive but comfortable to wear can be difficult. Thats why this pearl sweater from H&M is perfect! For me personally, I’m not attending many events this year where I need a dress or wear something really formal yet I still really enjoy dressing up and looking nice. It is Christmas after all! If you know me well, you know I really like to dress up and even on any random tuesday I prefer to be more dressed up then not. I like to live in heels because it makes me feel good and put together and even though I may be over dressed, I prefer it. I love this outfit and this pearl sweater because it is the perfect combo of dressy, festive but still comfortable for an at home party.
I absolutely love this outfit! It has been one of my favorite outfits that I have styled or worn in a while. This is pretty much my uniform, my go-to, my default. I love to throw on a pair of blue jeans and a white T (this one is my favorite!) and then spice up the outfit with a fun jacket, accessories and, of course, a pair of heels (also see here). You guys would die if you saw my closet and my collection of jackets. I have everything from leather jackets to ponchos to zip ups. In San Diego a co-worker used to call me “Jackets,” because I would show up with what seemed like a new jacket everyday. I wore that name proudly then, and I will continue to wear it proudly now. If you think that a move to the Midwest or silly nicknames will stop me from getting more…you must be crazy!
Merry Christmas everyone! Now that it is December I want to share with you my Christmas Wish List. I know that every single blogger right now is talking about what to buy for your loved ones and where to find the great deals. I wanted to be different from other bloggers and frankly, I want to be selfish! HAHAHA! I want to show you my Christmas list and what I am currently loving. This is what I will be asking for this Christmas.
